The lighting of this shot could be better. For instance, more lighting could be used to give more emphasis on Mami's face. Her face is currently looks a little too dark, and does not stand out. The emphasis to be her corset, I think if her face is brighter, the shot could be better. Good use of the LED lights, the wires draw the attention of the viewer from the bottom of the picture to Mami. Also, you might want to place the musket in the shot and not cut it off (but that is not so important). Hope this helps, awesome shot, overall! :>
Well, adding onto Denise's comment about composition. I guess the most effective way to "Light" or "brighten" or but emphasis of light up onto her face is to use a reflector.
You don't need anything fancy. Just some shiny aluminum foil backed onto a cardboard with some double sided tape?
Go cheap. Figurine photography is a very ghetto style and niche type of photography. You don't need to buy those crazy huge-assed reflectors which are used for Model shoots. In some ways or another i've seen many people take good shots with just a IKEA LAMPs and white cloth.
Getting this right means getting your portraiture right as well.
Very nice... I like the way the picture is composed, including whatever it is in the background that's blurred. The shapes and colors complement the foreground. And, of course, the color is perfect for Mami.
In the US a non-bootleg tends to be in the $40-60 range. I'm not sure how it is in Europe. I'm not near any stores myself so I get mine online, ebay [non-cheap non-bootleg], Amazon, or from Japan at amiami.com, hlj.com, etc. If you order them from Japan just keep in mind shipping/customs costs.
